異動のご挨拶

ちょっと季節外れだが、同僚が異動することになりました。

部署のみんなへの挨拶がメールで送られてきていたのですが（内容は日本語）、英語でならどういうか考えてみました。

異動になりました。

As you may already know, I will be transferred to the XXX department as of July 15th after 3 years of working with you.

お世話になりました、感謝します的な感じ。

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous support over the years.

今日ひとつ勉強になったのが、↑のような時にI would like to take this opportunity to "appreciate" you for your generous support over the years. とはしないこと。

appreciateは内面の気持ちを表すもので、こういう風に感謝したい、という時にはつかえないんだそうだ。
